Kitchen Staff

About the role

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking reliable Kitchen Staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, support catering functions, and operate all positions within the kitchen. This onsite role involves maintaining food quality, safety, and presentation for school and community meals.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, including baking bread, cakes, and cookies.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, including kitchen, cafeteria, and dishwashing stations.
• Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and keep cooler/storage racks tidy.
• Record temperatures, complete HACCP logs, and follow HHFKA and CACFP regulations.
• Assist with catering events and serve items with proper portions and utensils.
• Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and follow standardized recipes.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional catering events.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate production records.

Required skills

• Operation of food preparation equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders).
• HACCP compliance and food safety temperature monitoring.
• FIFO inventory management.
• Basic baking and cooking techniques.
