Kitchen Staff

About the role

Opaa! Food Management is seeking reliable Kitchen Staff to prepare breakfast and lunch, support serving lines, and assist with occasional catering events across its Midwest locations. The role involves working in all areas of the kitchen to ensure food quality, safety, and timely service.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain serving lines, ensuring food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare menu items, bake breads, cakes, cookies, and perform batch cooking.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow FIFO inventory practices.
• Monitor and record hot and cold food temperatures, complete HACCP logs, and comply with HHFKA and CACFP regulations.
• Requisition food and supplies, restock serving stations, and serve portions with appropriate utensils.
• Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training sessions.

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menu plans.
• Willingness to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.

• Readiness to attend mandatory meetings, trainings, and safety initiatives.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking.
• Operation of slicers, mixers, grinders (certified).
• Food safety compliance (HACCP, temperature monitoring).

• Baking of breads, cakes, and cookies.
