Kitchen Equipment Technician

About the role

ABS HR Consultancy is seeking an experienced Kitchen Cold Technician with at least two years of hands‑on experience. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing commercial kitchen refrigeration and cold equipment for clients in the hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen refrigeration and cold equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigeration‑related faults.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential technical issues.
• Repair or replace faulty components as needed.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, maintaining service records and reporting issues to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with kitchen and maintenance teams to complete work on time.
• Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Cold Technician or in a similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with commercial refrigeration and kitchen cold equipment.
• Good knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components, compressors, condensers, evaporators and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults independently.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• IT​I/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Mechanical or a related trade preferred.
