Junior WordPress Developer – 2-3 Years Experience

About the role

We are seeking a Junior WordPress Developer with 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience to join our SaaS/web‑app team in Kochi. You will work on building and maintaining WordPress‑based applications, handling everything from feature design to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain custom WordPress web applications with a product mindset.
• Create custom themes and plugins from scratch, avoiding page‑builder reliance.
• Manage Linux/cPanel servers, configure Nginx or Apache, and set up staging and production environments.
• Implement performance optimizations such as caching (Redis, Memcached), CDN integration, and database query tuning.
• Handle version control (Git) and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and SaaS services like payment gateways, CRMs, and analytics.
• Troubleshoot and debug across the full stack, from CSS to server logs.
• Collaborate with design and QA teams throughout sprint cycles.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of solid WordPress development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience building custom themes and plugins without relying on page builders.
• Comfortable working on Linux servers (SSH, file permissions, cron jobs).
• Familiarity with Nginx or Apache configuration and REST API integration.
• Knowledge of WordPress security best practices.
