Junior Threat Analyst – Detection & Response

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Threat Analyst to join our Detection and Response team. The role combines proactive threat hunting with detection engineering, giving you exposure to a wide range of security tools and real‑world incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify anomalous activity.
• Conduct proactive threat‑hunting investigations to uncover hidden threats.
• Assist senior analysts in creating and tuning detection rules and alerts in SIEM/EDR platforms.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities in systems and applications and recommend remediation.
• Document findings, methodologies, and response actions for knowledge sharing.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends.
• Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to improve overall detection and response capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in information security or IT.
• Experience with threat intelligence or threat hunting.
• Proficiency in English.
• Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• SIEM and EDR solutions (e.g., Splunk Enterprise Security).
• Windows operating system and networking fundamentals.
• Cloud security basics (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365).
• Linux operating system knowledge.
• Dynamic and static malware analysis.
• Endpoint detection and response tools (CrowdStrike Falcon, Carbon Black, FireEye HX, Windows Defender ATP).
• Relevant certifications (GIAC/SANS, CISSP, Microsoft).
