Junior Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our remote engineering team at StatusNeo. You will contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of software applications while gaining hands‑on experience with modern technologies and real‑world project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing new software features.
• Write, test, and debug code in Java, Python or JavaScript.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality using Git.
• Support integration of APIs and work with relational databases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 0–1 year of software development experience or relevant projects.
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web development concepts, HTML, CSS, and APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
