Junior Officer – Inline Hold Baggage Screening

About the role

The Junior Officer – Inline Hold Baggage Screening (ILHBS) supports the Shift In‑charge in overseeing baggage screening operations at designated airport locations. This role ensures compliance with aviation security regulations while maintaining high performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise screeners during the shift in the absence of the Shift In‑charge, ensuring punctuality, discipline and effective people management.
• Guarantee 100% screening of hold baggage at ILHBS locations and full compliance with BCAS/DGCA security regulations.
• Assist in preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports and incident reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (terminal operations, IT, baggage handling) to ensure seamless operations.
• Interact with external agencies such as ASG, local police, BCAS auditors and equipment service providers for security checks and maintenance.
• Enforce organizational standards and discipline among personnel, supporting the company’s vision, mission and core values.

Required profile

• Graduate with strong communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of AVSEC experience, preferably in Inline Hold Baggage Screening.
• Relevant certifications: AVSEC Basic Course (BCAS), AVSEC Management course (preferable), Standalone/Inline Screeners certification (BCAS), NCC “C” or “B” certificate, DGR CAT‑12 certification (DGCA).
