Java Software Engineer

About the role

WebEngage is scaling fast and seeks passionate Java developers to drive innovation on its enterprise‑grade customer engagement platform. You will work in functional pods alongside product managers, architects, and customer‑facing teams to deliver scalable, efficient solutions that process billions of events daily.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to product roadmap execution, translating high‑level designs into efficient, scalable Java code.
• Participate in peer code reviews, pair programming, and refactor existing codebases to improve performance and reliability.
• Monitor and optimise performance metrics, costs, and availability of your components.
• Provide on‑call support, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with customer‑facing teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, data structures, algorithms, and multithreading.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
