Java Core Developer

About the role

Capco is seeking a Java Core Developer to join its Chennai team. The role involves backend development, occasional frontend work, and collaboration with architects and external vendors to deliver banking and finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, discuss and document solution architecture and design with leads and architects.
• Perform backend development using Java and Spring Boot, with secondary frontend tasks using Angular.
• Write unit and integration tests, supporting test teams in performance and endurance testing.
• Engage with external vendor consultancy teams for product delivery and development.
• Prepare technical specifications and propose proactive technical improvements.
• Support implementation by integration teams following bank processes and tools.
• Participate in scrum agile ceremonies and contribute to strategic projects.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in IT software development, preferably in banking or finance.
• Knowledge of private banking, asset management or corporate banking concepts.
• Strong collaboration, communication and attention‑to‑detail skills.
