Java Backend Developer (4-6 yrs) – Pune

About the role

Join a leading global payments company as a Java Backend Developer. You will work on high‑availability payment applications, ensuring they meet strict security and compliance standards while supporting the growth of worldwide commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade, high‑availability payment applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, and Hibernate.
• Build and optimise scalable, secure applications that comply with architectural, PCI‑DSS, and other security standards.
• Drive end‑to‑end service development to ensure platform reliability and support business expansion.
• Produce high‑quality, fully tested code following engineering best practices to reduce technical debt.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in Java development, preferably with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with XML/JSON payloads.
• Familiarity with security testing tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, and Checkmarx.
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL) and Unix/Linux environments.
