IT Consultant – Retail Vendor Managed Inventory (Food & Beverages)

About the role

As a member of the Infosys consulting team, you will work closely with retail clients to understand their Vendor Managed Inventory challenges in the Food & Beverages sector, diagnose issues, and design innovative, technology‑driven solutions that drive client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements, identify problem areas and propose value‑creating strategies.
• Develop and own parts of proposal documents, contributing to solution design.
• Configure products according to design specifications, conduct conference‑room pilots and resolve technical queries.
• Deliver solution demonstrations, Proof‑of‑Technology workshops and prepare effort estimates aligned with budgetary constraints.
• Lead small projects and support unit‑level initiatives to deliver high‑quality, value‑adding solutions.

Required profile

• Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of software configuration management systems.
• Awareness of latest technologies and industry trends.
• Understanding of financial processes and pricing models for IT projects.
• Ability to assess current processes, identify improvement areas and recommend technology solutions.
