IT Administrator – Onsite in Chennai

About the role

We are looking for an IT Administrator to join our dynamic team in Ambattur, Chennai. The role involves collaborating with the IT department to maintain and enhance the technical infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure operation of systems across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and configure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
• Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
• Perform routine system updates and maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and security.
• Maintain an inventory of IT assets and equipment, tracking serial numbers and warranties.
• Provide technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Write comprehensive technical documentation and provide training and support to team members as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT administration and support.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and server administration.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
• Knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerization technologies.
