Inventory Manager – R&D Stock Control

About the role

The Inventory Manager will oversee inventory management and stock control for R&D stores, ensuring accurate records, efficient material flow, and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, including stock tracking and rotation.
• Conduct monthly inventory audits and quarterly cycle counts.
• Reconcile variances and take corrective action on discrepancies.
• Coordinate purchase requisitions and follow up to clear bottlenecks.
• Manage material inward/outward movement and complete GRN filing.
• Oversee organisation, cleanliness and space optimisation of storage facilities.
• Prepare SAP work orders, post product releases and process monthly consumption.
• Produce monthly R&D inventory analysis reports covering stock levels and consumption patterns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, supply chain, or a scientific discipline.
• 10‑15 years of experience in inventory control, stores management or materials management, preferably in an R&D or manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Working proficiency in SAP (MM/WM modules) for PR, GRN, work order and posting transactions.
• Strong experience with inventory auditing techniques, cycle counting and variance reconciliation.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for stock‑level and consumption reporting.
