Inventory Executive – Chemical Store Management

About the role

The Inventory Executive will oversee the safe storage, receipt, and distribution of chemicals and related consumables. This role ensures compliance with legal regulations and maintains accurate inventory records within the ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and store chemicals according to their classification.
• Create Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for incoming items.
• Issue lab chemicals and consumables to end‑users.
• Conduct periodic inventory safety checks and audits.
• Report and follow up on any ERP‑related inventory issues.
• Identify near‑expiry chemicals, coordinate with chemists, and arrange disposal.
• Review inventory levels and raise purchase orders for consumables, chemicals, and solvents.
• Ensure safety and compliance with local laws, including handling of Class A solvents, poisons, narcotics, and required licensing.
• Stay updated on new guidelines and directives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably with chemicals.
• Fluent communication skills.
• Proactive, result‑driven, and entrepreneurial attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems for inventory control.
