International Tax Manager

About the role

The International Tax Manager will act as a key business‑facing advisor within the Group Tax function, providing practical advice on direct tax, withholding tax, treaty relief, VAT, permanent establishment risk and transfer pricing across bids, projects and cross‑border operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax support for bids and projects, identifying and managing international tax risks.
• Deliver international tax advisory and project support, including withholding tax, treaty and residence certificate matters.
• Handle VAT, sales tax and other indirect tax queries.
• Support tax audits and controversy matters.
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance across jurisdictions.
• Drive process improvement, governance and stakeholder management.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years post‑qualification experience with a strong technical tax background.
• Professional tax, accounting or legal qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with M&A, reorganisations, country start‑ups or closures is beneficial.
• Proactive, practical and solutions‑focused with the ability to work in ambiguous, complex environments.
• Excellent attention to detail while maintaining a commercial perspective.
• Ability to build trust with senior stakeholders and work both independently and as part of a team.
