About the role
UPS is seeking an Intermediate Applications Developer to join its Technology Development Center in Chennai. The role involves contributing to the full software lifecycle, delivering reliable applications that support UPS’s global logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in system analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of moderately complex applications.
- Produce and maintain application documentation.
- Support production environments through production support activities.
- Assist with integration builds and ongoing maintenance.
- Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams following Agile and SAFe practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
- Ability to work within planned timelines and meet established deadlines.
Required skills
- Java programming.
- Production support experience.
- DevOps concepts and tools.
- Agile development methodology.
- SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) practices.
