Interior Lead Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interior Lead Engineer to head the design and development of automotive cabin trim components. The role will lead a team of subsystem engineers, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality interior systems for upcoming vehicle programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the engineering sub‑system meetings, ensuring cross‑functional input.
• Provide technical solutions, feasibility assessments and component‑level support for pillar trims, headliners, overhead consoles, carpets, NVH ducts and related interior parts.
• Maintain compliance with vehicle specification books, feature lists and CMF requirements.
• Prepare and manage technical specifications, DVPs, DFMEAs and conduct structured design reviews.
• Drive Engineering APQP deliverables and ensure on‑time part development throughout program phases.
• Escalate critical technical issues to the Cabin ML and lead cross‑functional issue‑resolution meetings.
• Create Design Change Requests to address build issues and support timely engineering updates.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in automotive interior engineering.
• Strong background in design of cabin trim components such as pillar trims, headliners, overhead consoles, carpets and NVH ducts.
• Ability to work with vehicle specification, CMF and quality planning processes.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
