Information Security Trainee

About the role

Monotype is seeking an Information Security Trainee to support security investigations, breach response, and monitoring infrastructure. The role is open to candidates without prior experience, though relevant experience is considered.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze threat information from multiple sources and synthesize intelligence.
• Identify vulnerabilities, assess cyber‑criminal capabilities, and support law‑enforcement investigations.
• Respond to urgent security incidents, mitigate threats, and assist in recovery.
• Assist IT with malware remediation and configuration auditing of networks and operating systems.

Required profile

• Understanding of network, systems, application, and cloud security, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of information security concepts.
• Strong technical communication, analytical, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication with presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information security or equivalent.
