Incident Response & Threat Hunting Consultant

About the role

KPMG India is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to design, develop, and maintain advanced use cases for Microsoft Sentinel and Google SecOps platforms. The role supports incident response and threat‑hunting teams by translating security requirements into actionable detection logic.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality use cases that showcase the detection and response capabilities of Microsoft Sentinel and Google SecOps.
• Test, validate, and continuously improve use cases to ensure effectiveness against evolving threats.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including step‑by‑step instructions and system requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to security analysts and incident‑response teams.
• Stay current with the latest security trends, threat intelligence, and platform updates.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in incident response or threat hunting.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Google SecOps platforms.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and MITRE ATT&CK; certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security+) are a plus.
