In-House Counsel – Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking an experienced In‑House Counsel to join our legal team and manage all real‑estate related legal matters. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure compliance, protect our interests, and support the growth of our property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct title searches and comprehensive property due‑diligence.
• Coordinate with lawyers, sub‑registrar, talathi, tehsildar and other government offices for document collection and registration.
• Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts, sale deeds, lease deeds, leave‑and‑license agreements, and related documents.
• Represent the company in real‑estate and property litigation as required.
• Manage relationships with external legal consultants and maintain a healthy working partnership.
• Maintain accurate records of all property and real‑estate transactions.

Required profile

• LLB or LLM from a reputed university with strong academic credentials.
• 5‑8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a real‑estate company.
• Fluent in English and proficient in reading, writing and communicating in Marathi.
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Title search and property due‑diligence.
• Drafting and reviewing sale deeds, lease deeds, construction contracts.
• Litigation handling for real‑estate matters.
• Coordination with government offices (sub‑registrar, talathi, tehsildar, gram panchayat).
• Managing external legal counsel and maintaining transaction records.
