Import Logistics, Operations & Documentation Executive

About the role

The Import Logistics, Operations & Documentation Executive ensures the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international supply chains. This position works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams to guarantee timely delivery and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters and customs brokers to keep goods moving on schedule.
• Prepare and review import documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements and trade laws.
• Monitor shipment schedules, transit timelines and clearance processes to avoid delays.
• Track shipments and resolve operational issues like documentation discrepancies, customs queries, demurrage or detention risks.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance and sales teams to align delivery timelines.
• Support cost‑optimization initiatives by monitoring freight, duties and logistics expenses.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP or logistics platforms for audit‑ready documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency across import operations.

Required profile
