Hydraulic Design Engineer – Axial Piston Pump (Specialist)

About the role

We are seeking a Hydraulic Design Engineer (Specialist) to lead the design and development of axial piston pumps and motors for mobile hydraulic applications. You will work on the DC‑MH project, delivering innovative solutions that meet performance, cost, and weight targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop axial piston pumps and motors, including hydraulic schematics and circuit layouts.
• Define and select control systems such as pressure compensation and load sensing to match application requirements.
• Lead ratio projects focused on cost and weight reduction, implementing the resulting improvements.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis to ensure manufacturability of castings, forgings, and machined components.
• Produce CAD models and manufacturing drawings compliant with ASME and ISO‑GPS standards.
• Conduct advanced NVH analysis and implement mitigation strategies for noise, vibration, and harshness.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mobile hydraulics and experience with digital or software‑controlled pump designs.
• Proven problem‑solving abilities and experience in cost/weight optimization projects.
