Hydraulic Design Engineer – Axial Piston Pump (Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a Hydraulic Design Engineer (Specialist) to lead the design and development of axial‑piston pumps and motors for mobile hydraulic applications. The role is based in Coimbatore and will work within Bosch’s DC‑MH project team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop axial‑piston pumps and motors for mobile hydraulics.
• Create hydraulic schematics and circuit designs, including pressure‑compensation and load‑sensing control systems.
• Perform cost‑reduction and weight‑reduction analyses (Ratio Projects) and implement improvements.
• Design castings, forgings, and machining processes for hydraulic components.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis to ensure manufacturability.
• Generate CAD models and manufacturing drawings compliant with ASME and ISO‑GPS standards.
• Conduct advanced NVH analysis and develop digital/software‑controlled pump solutions.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mobile hydraulics and positive‑displacement systems.
• Proven experience in hydraulic product design and manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and deliver complete design packages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
