About the role
Mercom India is looking for a proactive Human Resources Generalist to lead daily HR operations in its Bengaluru office. The role supports a fast‑paced media, research and events environment, ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, compliance and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities
- HR Operations & Compliance – maintain accurate employee records, ensure statutory compliance, manage payroll coordination, leave and attendance systems.
- Talent Acquisition – own end‑to‑end recruitment, source candidates via job portals, ATS, LinkedIn and referrals, conduct structured interviews and negotiate offers.
- Onboarding & Orientation – design and deliver a comprehensive onboarding program with clear role expectations and cultural integration.
- Performance Management – implement quarterly and annual review cycles, define KPIs/OKRs with department heads and coach managers.
- Learning & Development – conduct training needs analysis, organise workshops, leadership and technical upskilling sessions, and track effectiveness.
Required profile
- Proven experience in HR operations, recruitment and employee engagement, preferably in a media or consulting setting.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, wage standards and regulatory changes.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and support a high‑growth environment.
Required skills
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) management
- HRIS / payroll software proficiency
- Recruitment tools such as LinkedIn and job portals
