HR Compliance Specialist – Labour Risk & Compliance

About the role

Amazon.com is seeking an HR Compliance Specialist to lead labour risk and compliance initiatives across its operations. The role focuses on implementing compliance frameworks, managing statutory obligations, and ensuring alignment with labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall labour law compliance across all locations and liaise with government departments.
• Manage registrations, renewals, vendor licences and other labour‑law requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, periodic returns, compliance reports and annual renewals.
• Coordinate labour inspections, handle regulatory engagements and maintain inspection records.
• Review notices, draft responses, follow up on closures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain compliance dashboards, track key metrics and provide analytical insights.
• Generate audit reports, monitor action‑plan implementation and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Provide guidance to functional teams on policy development and implementation to meet labour‑law standards.
• Represent the organisation in government offices for advocacy and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Proven ability to handle high volumes of tasks with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem‑anticipation, contingency planning and multi‑priority management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
