Housekeeping Specialist

About the role

Footprint Hostel in Udaipur is looking for a full‑time Housekeeping Specialist to keep guest rooms, dormitories and common areas clean, safe and welcoming. You will work on‑site, ensuring the hostel’s high standards of hygiene and comfort are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Make beds, change linens and replenish toiletries and towels in guest rooms and dorms.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, surfaces and shared spaces according to hostel procedures.
• Collect, wash, dry, fold and organise linens and guest laundry, observing fabric‑care guidelines.
• Manage waste disposal and restock cleaning supplies.
• Report maintenance issues and support check‑in/check‑out readiness.
• Assist guests with simple enquiries and direct them to reception when needed.
• Help train new housekeeping team members on cleaning techniques and safety practices.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and SOPs.
• Good time‑management skills and ability to work efficiently.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, lift and move supplies safely.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality or a hostel environment is a plus but not mandatory.
