Housekeeping Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping and laundry operations of our hotel. The role ensures that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the brand’s standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring rooms are cleaned, inspected and ready for arrival according to IHG standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces, coordinating with Front Office and Engineering to resolve defects.
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, SOPs and linen par levels, monitoring room status and laundry output.
• Lead, coach and develop a housekeeping team, preparing duty rosters, delivering briefings and providing performance feedback.
• Handle special guest requests, VIP requirements and complaints, ensuring prompt service recovery and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee deep‑cleaning projects, special cleaning assignments and back‑of‑house hygiene standards.
• Maintain equipment safety, storage and regular inspections.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing housekeeping and laundry operations in a hotel environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational abilities to plan rosters, inspections and deep‑cleaning projects.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with Front Office, Engineering and guest services.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest experience.
