Housekeeping Executive

About the role

The Housekeeping Executive ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s quality standards. This full‑time, onsite position coordinates housekeeping activities with engineering, front office and laundry teams while supporting daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify quality and resolve discrepancies.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning and update departing room statuses.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to coordinate efforts.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms, communicate changes in room assignments and hand over information to the next shift.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and coaching staff.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards and incidents.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities and ensure a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a hospitality environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lb unassisted and moving carts on uneven surfaces.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale or room‑status systems.
