Housekeeping Executive

About the role

The Housekeeping Executive ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s quality standards. This full‑time position works closely with housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry teams to coordinate daily operations and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update departing‑guest room status and communicate changes in room assignments to the next shift.
• Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to coordinate efforts.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Assist housekeeping management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and motivating staff.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents or injuries.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.
• Use computers and point‑of‑sale systems to enter and retrieve work‑related information.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving carts, bending, standing and walking for extended periods.
• Complete required paperwork and any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 55 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Proficiency in using computers and point‑of‑sale systems.
