Hotel Front Office Host – Reception & Reservations

About the role

The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, a 4‑star venue in Scotland, is seeking a friendly Front Office Host to be the first point of contact for guests, delegates and visitors. You will work at the reception desk, handling both front‑desk and reservation duties while delivering excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservations from phone, email, OTAs and the hotel website, ensuring accurate guest information.
• Check guests in and out, handle payments and upsell upgrades or extras.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to guest requests and communicate with all hotel departments.
• Maintain smooth daily operations at the reception, including reservation checks and handling individual, company and group bookings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a busy hospitality or front‑office environment.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, occasional nights and across a 7‑day roster.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing situations.
