About the role
We are looking for a reliable Hostel Helper to provide general support and maintain cleanliness within our school hostel facilities. The role focuses on ensuring a safe, hygienic environment for students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Maintain high hygiene standards and promptly address any cleanliness issues.
- Monitor and report on cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
- Collaborate with school staff to identify and meet cleaning needs.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work on‑site.
- Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and the well‑being of students.
Required skills
- Strong cleaning and organisational abilities.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Knowledge of cleaning best practices and appropriate equipment.
