Head of Technology & Innovation

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH and the largest software development centre of Bosch outside Germany, is hiring a Head of Technology & Innovation in Bengaluru. The role drives technology foresight, innovation and incubation, turning emerging technology developments into pragmatic business opportunities and moving promising ideas from insight to scalable adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and refresh technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy, growth priorities and client needs, and monitor trends in AI, engineering, cloud, data, automation and digital transformation
• Provide executives with technology assessments and recommendations on build, buy, partner or incubate decisions
• Design and lead an innovation pipeline, incubate new capabilities and platforms through pilots and proof of value, and set success criteria, resourcing and risk controls
• Partner with business, delivery, sales and solutioning leaders to turn validated concepts into client-ready offerings and reusable assets
• Build relationships with startups, academia, hyperscalers and technology providers, and lead technology scouting and co-innovation activities
• Represent the company in technology forums and foster a culture of curiosity and responsible innovation

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience in technology, innovation, engineering, AI or digital transformation
• Demonstrated experience incubating new capabilities, products or initiatives through to business adoption
• Ability to turn technology trends into business cases, investment priorities and roadmaps
• Established engagement with startups, academia, hyperscalers and technology providers
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
• 15-20 years of experience; degree such as B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech or MBA
