Head of Social, India & Sri Lanka

About the role

The Head of Social for India and Sri Lanka will shape Uber and Uber Eats' social presence across Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube and emerging platforms. You will lead strategy, content creation and partnership activation while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and launch channel strategies for Uber and Uber Eats across major social platforms.
• Manage day‑to‑day social media operations for Uber India’s consumer and earner channels and Uber Sri Lanka.
• Identify trends and cultural moments to produce platform‑native, humor‑driven content.
• Shoot, edit and produce original video and graphic assets; oversee creators and influencers.
• Partner with communications, marketing, policy, product and external partners to align messaging and storytelling.
• Champion experimentation through testing, iteration and thoughtful risk‑taking.

Required profile

• 8+ years in social‑first creative roles at brands, agencies or media companies.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube audiences, features and best practices.
• Proven track record of building and scaling socially engaging, culturally relevant channels.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing creators, influencers or creative teams.
