Head of Quality

About the role

The Head of Quality will lead the quality function for an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) operation in Mysore. Reporting to senior management, you will define, implement and sustain quality standards across all manufacturing and operational processes to ensure delivery of high‑quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish quality objectives, policies and procedures aligned with business goals and customer expectations.
• Review and continuously improve existing quality standards, systems and policies.
• Monitor manufacturing and operational processes, conduct process audits and final product inspections.
• Analyze quality reports, statistical data and documentation to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Guide, mentor and develop managers and staff on quality best practices and foster a strong quality culture.
• Evaluate customer quality requirements, address complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with external quality assurance bodies and auditors during on‑site inspections.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or a related discipline.
• 20–25 years of experience in quality management within the electronics manufacturing sector.
• Proven leadership and team‑building capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of quality systems and methodologies.
• Experience with statistical and data analysis tools.
