Head of Industrial Engineering

About the role

The Head of Industrial Engineering will define and execute the engineering strategy that supports business growth, manufacturing efficiency and customer requirements. This senior leader will own capacity planning, process design and automation initiatives across the factory, ensuring readiness from prototype to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Industrial Engineering roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
• Own factory capacity planning, including equipment, manpower, floor space and future expansion.
• Drive productivity through cycle‑time reduction, line balancing, bottleneck elimination and optimal resource utilization.
• Lead NPI industrialization, production ramp‑up and manufacturing readiness.
• Design manufacturing processes, workstations, takt time, UPH, staffing and material flow.
• Run Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs using VSM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SMED and Standard Work.
• Identify high‑ROI automation opportunities and execute the factory automation roadmap.
• Optimize manufacturing costs, including labor, conversion, machine‑hour and overhead.
• Lead CapEx planning and justify investments for new equipment and capacity expansion.
• Manage factory layout, space optimization and logistics routes.
• Establish and govern KPIs such as OEE, UPH, FPY, lead time and cost per unit.
• Support RFQ and business development with capacity models, manpower estimates and cost inputs.
• Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, including MES, IoT, real‑time dashboards and smart‑factory solutions.

Required profile

• Executive‑level leadership experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of building and developing high‑performing engineering teams.
• Strong background in capacity planning, process design and automation.
• Experience delivering large‑scale Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
