Head of Financial Control

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Financial Control to lead the finance function of a listed company, overseeing end‑to‑end financial reporting, statutory compliance and group consolidation. The role reports to senior management and the Audit Committee, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial disclosures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and finalize standalone and consolidated financial statements on a quarterly, half‑yearly and annual basis, ensuring compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act and SEBI LODR.
• Drive a 30‑day quarterly close process, coordinating finance, tax, treasury and business teams to meet regulatory timelines.
• Serve as the single point of contact for Big‑4 auditors, managing audit planning, PBC delivery and issue resolution.
• Lead group‑level consolidation for domestic and international subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency accounting and minority interest reconciliations.
• Partner with Internal Audit to design, implement and test internal financial controls (ICFR) and oversee audit documentation.
• Manage accounting for M&A transactions, including purchase price allocation, goodwill accounting and post‑deal integration.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing controllership team, establishing clear ownership and development pathways.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of post‑qualification experience in finance, with 4–5+ years in a Controller, Senior Manager or AVP role.
• Hands‑on experience with listed company reporting, statutory audits and SEBI compliance.
• Proven track record of leading quarterly close cycles and managing Big‑4 auditor relationships.
• Strong understanding of group consolidation, intercompany processes and foreign currency accounting.
• Experience in M&A accounting, purchase price allocation and integration.
