Senior Accountant

About the role

Namo Realty, a leading real‑estate developer in Mumbai, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its finance team on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision‑making for residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, process accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts and variance analyses.
• Track project costs, revenue and cash flow for development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax requirements and internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, external consultants and senior management on reporting and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Strong knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance and regulatory requirements for the sector.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration with project, operations and leadership teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with accounting software such as Tally or ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
