About the role

The Head of Credit Risk for ANZ India will lead credit risk management for the Mumbai branch, ensuring the portfolio aligns with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. This senior position supports growth objectives while safeguarding against material credit losses.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise delegated credit authority for Indian customers, escalating cases beyond limits to senior CAD holders.
• Monitor the credit risk environment and identify emerging risks early.
• Implement tighter controls for high‑risk customers, including enhanced early‑identification triggers.
• Collaborate with business units to structure transactions that fit the risk appetite and improve speed to market.
• Champion compliance with RBI regulations and ANZ Group credit policies.
• Lead portfolio management activities, including regular reviews and risk‑grade assessments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit risk management within banking or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of RBI regulatory expectations and ANZ Group credit policies.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive consistent risk practices across regions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on early risk detection.
