Head of Commercial – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

The S.K. Khetan Group is seeking an experienced commercial leader to head its Commercial Function from the corporate office in Udaipur. This senior role will drive contract strategy, high‑value negotiations, bid management and project feasibility across mining and infrastructure sectors in India and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract evaluation, commercial structuring and negotiations for mining and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and execute bidding strategies, finalising techno‑commercial terms for new contracts.
• Manage negotiations with major industrial clients such as Hindustan Copper Limited, Vedanta Limited, Coal India Limited and UltraTech Cement Limited.
• Review existing contracts to identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities, advising senior management on corrective actions.
• Assess commercial feasibility for take‑overs, expansions and new business avenues beyond current operational sectors.
• Provide strategic commercial guidance to top management to support long‑term growth.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in commercial contracts, negotiations and bidding, preferably in underground and surface metal mining projects.
• Strong exposure to large‑scale contract finalisation with major mining or industrial organisations.
• Excellent understanding of contract risk assessment and mitigation.
• Proven ability to evaluate project feasibility and commercial viability.
• Leadership mindset with strategic thinking ability.
