Gym Receptionist – Member Experience

About the role

Join the vibrant community at Soho House Mumbai as a Gym Receptionist, the welcoming face of our fitness facility. You will create a personalised, friendly experience for members and guests while ensuring smooth daily operations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, delivering a warm, personalised service at each visit.
• Manage entry and exit systems, enforcing access and security protocols.
• Handle member enquiries, requests, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Support membership administration and keep accurate records.
• Promote memberships, gym services, challenges and House initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organised reception and gym environment throughout the shift.
• Conduct regular equipment checks, reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist members with equipment use, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
• Follow health, safety, safeguarding and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider House team to deliver a seamless member experience.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality, fitness, wellness, hotels, clubs or other customer‑facing roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, approachable, confident and relationship‑focused.
• Genuine interest in health, fitness and wellness.
• Organised with basic administrative and computer handling abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks.
