Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping

About the role

As a Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping you will ensure that every guest room meets Fairmont’s high standards of cleanliness, comfort and safety. You will work closely with the housekeeping team to deliver a welcoming environment that reflects the brand’s heritage and commitment to hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming and cleaning all floor surfaces in guest rooms.
• Changing bed linens, making beds and arranging them neatly.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, replenishing toiletries and towels.
• Wiping down furniture, mirrors and other room surfaces.
• Restocking toiletries, bedding and towels to ensure adequate supply.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor or maintenance department.
• Handling lost‑and‑found items according to hotel procedures.
• Respecting guest privacy and obtaining permission before entering rooms.
• Responding to guest requests for additional amenities or room adjustments.
• Following health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Securing rooms after cleaning and ensuring they are locked.
• Monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying when stock is low.
• Coordinating with other housekeeping staff and management to maintain smooth operations.
• Completing checklists and logging any issues or special requests as required.
