Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping

About the role

The Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping ensures that guest rooms, public areas and executive offices are clean, hygienic and safe, delivering an exceptional hospitality experience at Novotel Kolkata. You will work closely with the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, public areas, corridors, fire exits and executive offices according to hotel standards.
• Equip rooms with fresh linen, amenities and ensure all items are correctly placed.
• Manage and safeguard departmental master keys and room keys, reporting any loss or damage immediately.
• Inspect room linen before placement and return sub‑standard items to the appropriate department.
• Handle the housekeeping desk, coordinate with other departments, and process guest messages, queries and lost‑and‑found items.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and any safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate registers, records and key issuance logs.
• Adhere to hotel policies, including “Do Not Disturb” procedures and strict respect for guest property.
