Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping

About the role

The Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping ensures that guest rooms and public areas are clean, well‑maintained and fully stocked, delivering a welcoming experience for every guest at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest and department requests.
• Prepare and transport housekeeping carts with supplies to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms following access procedures, verify vacancy and replace amenities, linens and terry items.
• Make beds, fold terry, clean bathrooms, remove trash and room‑service items.
• Inspect and ensure all room appliances are present and functional.
• Straighten desk items, dust, polish surfaces, remove marks and vacuum carpets in rooms and hallways.
• Perform floor‑care duties and maintain overall cleanliness of public areas.
• Follow all company safety, security and housekeeping policies, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and uphold confidentiality of hotel information.
• Welcome guests courteously, anticipate their needs and assist individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• No specific education or prior experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 25 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, kneel and bend for extended periods during a shift.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart on uneven surfaces.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
