About the role
The Guest Service Associate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from check‑in to check‑out. You will manage daily front‑office operations, address guest inquiries and complaints, and support the reception team in delivering high‑quality service.
Key responsibilities
- Handle guest arrivals and departures, ensuring swift, professional, and friendly check‑in and check‑out.
- Maintain the Front Office log book, shift reports, and record of banquet and other hotel functions.
- Respond to guest queries and resolve issues promptly to guarantee satisfaction.
- Motivate and develop the reception team, promoting teamwork and smooth departmental functioning.
- Liaise with housekeeping for room status and with other departments to resolve day‑to‑day operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Utilise the INTERREACT system for reservations and guest management.
- Identify cost‑effective resource use and educate the team on financial best practices.
Required profile
- Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality Management.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a front‑office or guest service role.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Leadership aptitude to support and develop a reception team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the INTERREACT reservation system.
