Guest Service Associate – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Guest Service Associate supports the Food & Beverage outlet by delivering high‑standard service to guests, maintaining a welcoming environment, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position works closely with the outlet team to uphold Fairmont’s reputation for exceptional hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing side duties, set tables according to standards, and prepare side stations for service.
• Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and ensure food and beverage are served promptly and at the correct temperature.
• Apply HACCP food safety and hygiene standards throughout service.
• Upsell and promote menu items, cross‑sell other dining venues when the outlet is full, and maximize sales revenue.
• Clear and tidy tables quickly after guests depart, returning settings to the stewarding area.
• Collect and verify food and beverage supply requisitions, ensuring stock matches the request.
• Report any complaints, incidents, or irregularities to management promptly.
• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets during peak periods or when additional support is required.
