Group Manager - RPA & Agentic Automation

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Group Manager to lead its RPA and Agentic Automation team in Bangalore. The role sits within the Digital function and is responsible for expanding and industrialising the enterprise automation ecosystem, combining RPA, AI and Python‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 10+ Intelligent Automation engineers, setting goals aligned with business strategy.
• Act as a hands‑on technical expert, guiding best practices in UiPath (REFramework, Orchestrator) and developing complex automation processes when needed.
• Define the automation product strategy, roadmap and service offering for the organisation.
• Drive adoption of advanced AI/ML capabilities, including UiPath AI Center, Document Understanding, Action Center and generative AI/LLM integration.
• Ensure robust, scalable and resilient delivery of automated processes across the value chain.

Required profile

• Graduate or Post‑Graduate with 15+ years of experience in RPA, automation and software engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience designing, architecting and deploying enterprise‑grade solutions on the UiPath platform.
• Proven track record managing teams of 10+ engineers, with strong talent development and performance optimisation.
• Experience in Service Delivery Management, Agile project management and continuous process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment, especially with German and French stakeholders; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
