Group Leader - Stores

About the role

The Group Leader – Stores is responsible for end‑to‑end inventory management across engineering, oil, chemical and packing stores. The role ensures stock availability, applies 5S practices and maintains accurate records in the Oracle system.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily material requirements, follow up with buyers and prevent stock‑out situations.
• Update MRN in Oracle after receipt of imported and domestic materials and enforce FIFO and shelf‑life controls.
• Reconcile physical stock with Oracle records monthly and manage location identification for all stores.
• Prepare daily receipts register, stock statements in MS‑Excel and generate weekly MCM and monthly MIS reports.
• Coordinate gate passes, in‑out transaction records and ensure timely communication with QA and accounts departments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–10 years of experience in inventory management within a manufacturing or supply‑chain environment.
• Age between 24 and 31 years.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle inventory modules.
• Advanced MS‑Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Implementation of 5S workplace organization.
• Knowledge of FIFO inventory control and shelf‑life monitoring.
• Experience preparing MIS and MCM reports.
