Global Strategic Sourcing Lead

About the role

The Global Strategic Sourcing Lead will drive sourcing excellence for Piramal Pharma Solutions across multiple manufacturing sites. This senior position focuses on delivering measurable cost savings, standardising supplier requirements and strengthening vendor relationships within the pharma sector.

Key responsibilities

• Implement cost‑reduction initiatives through negotiation, volume leverage and market intelligence.
• Lead face‑to‑face negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and service agreements.
• Standardise material and service requirements across all manufacturing locations.
• Optimise the supplier base to reduce complexity while maintaining quality standards.
• Establish and monitor vendor performance metrics and continuous‑improvement plans.
• Coordinate internal approvals for sourcing plans, contracts and vendor selections.
• Support contract development, review and execution in partnership with legal and procurement teams.
• Formulate sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, leveraging spend analytics and supplier innovation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, finance, operations and engineering teams to align sourcing goals with overall project deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in pharma or healthcare.
• Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings through strategic initiatives.
• Direct experience managing sourcing activities across multiple sites or international geographies.
• Familiarity with e‑auction platforms and advanced negotiation tools.
• Awareness of supply‑chain risk management and sustainability practices.
