Global Facilities Project Manager, Construction & Project Management, South Asia

About the role

Micron Technology, a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a Global Facilities Project Manager for Construction and Project Management in South Asia. You will partner with Central Engineering, South Asia Regional and Site Construction Directors across the region to deliver multi-billion-dollar construction projects, and lead the Global Construction and Project Management organization. The role reports to the Senior Director of Global Facilities and Construction, South Asia Regional.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the global construction roadmap and strategy, and optimize construction management processes so projects are delivered on time, within budget and safely.
• Manage change and assess operational and financial risks for proposed construction plans covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management.
• Oversee planning, execution and completion of construction projects across regions, driving cost management and financial accountability.
• Work closely with Indirect Construction Procurement to improve procurement strategies and select high-quality materials and services.
• Oversee commissioning so facilities meet performance criteria before handover.
• Implement risk management practices and identify risks that could affect project outcomes.
• Collaborate with Global, Regional and Site Facilities, Global EHSS, Global Procurement, Corporate Finance and external consultants.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, business conduct and ethics policies, and coach and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction, Building, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture.
• Professional certification in construction management (e.g. PMP, CCM) or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of experience, including 10 years in construction and 5 years in a managerial role as a Project Manager.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary semiconductor projects or other relevant industries strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings, and to work in a global multicultural team.
• Willingness to travel regularly, domestic and international, and based in India (Gujarat).
