Functional Consultant – Logistics and Warehouse Management

About the role

We are looking for a Functional Consultant specialized in logistics and warehouse management to support our ERP product team. The consultant will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical developers, translating business needs into functional specifications for SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to convert detailed business requirements into functional specifications and SAP configurations.
• Advise developers on expected system behavior and support technical delivery activities.
• Configure SAP ERP components (MM, SD, WM/EWM) to meet functional requirements.
• Perform functional testing and ensure solutions satisfy business needs.
• Identify and incorporate security and compliance considerations, especially for sensitive data handling.
• Handle high‑priority production issues, including emergency transports and configuration changes.
• Provide escalated support for ERP‑related incidents and guide business and IT on SAP specialisms.

Required profile

• Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather and refine functional and technical requirements.
• Strong ability to produce high‑quality functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers.
• Experience in test case design, execution and documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban.

Required skills

• SAP ERP modules – MM, SD, WM/EWM.
• Knowledge of logistics execution, purchasing, warehouse management, STO, shipping, EDI and IDocs.
• SAP customizing and IMG navigation.
• ABAP programming basics and first‑level debugging.
• Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
